February 24, 2026. On February 23, 2026, our colleague, PhD Inessa Anatolyevna Vorobyova passed away after a grave illness. Her research focused on a wide range of scientific problems in geophysics, seismology, and geodynamics.

Inessa Vorobyeva was a leading research scientist at the Institute of Earthquake Prediction Theory and Mathematical Geophysics RAS and a senior research scientist at the Geophysical Center RAS, from 2021 to 2025. Over the past few years, Inessa Anatolyevna was an active participant in a project supported by a grant from the Russian Science Foundation, dedicated to the systematic analysis of the dynamics of geophysical processes in the Russian Arctic. The result of their work together was the publication of more than a dozen scientific papers.

The staff of the GC RAS expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Inessa Anatolyevna.
