June 10, 2025. On June 10–11, Astana (the Republic of Kazakhstan) hosts the international conference "Methods and Models of System Analysis for Studying, Forecasting, and Assessing the Risks of Floods and Other Natural Hazards".
The scientific session "Scientific Methods and Models of System Analysis for Assessing and Managing the Risks of Floods and Other Extreme Events" was opened by the report of Chief Scientist of the GC RAS, Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani and Deputy Director for Science of the GC RAS, D.Sc. Boris Dzeboev "Methods of System Analysis for Assessing the Risks of Natural Disasters". The report highlighted the mathematical methods of system analysis developed in the GC RAS by the scientific school of Academician of RAS Alexey Gvishiani.
Director of the GC RAS, Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev made a presentation on "Mathematical Methods for Assessing the Hazardous Effects of Space Weather on Industrial Systems". Anatoly Soloviev spoke about the impact of space weather on technological systems, as well as about methods and means of studying these processes.
The conference is supported by IIASA, RAS, AIU, and ISCA.
