The 29th International Mining Forum "Miner's Week"

January 28, 2021. GC RAS took part in the 29th International Mining Forum "Miner's Week", taking place on January 26-29 at NUST MISIS. Miner's Week is the largest annual scientific and practical mining forum in Russia. For over 25 years, the event has brought together representatives of business, government, scientific and educational communities from all over the world.

Within the framework of the forum, leading scientific and technical developments, innovations and research by representatives of mining schools in Russia, Europe, Asia and Australia, as well as methods and approaches to solving modern problems of the mining complex are presented. The event was attended by over 500 industry experts from Poland, Germany, Australia, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Vietnam and Bulgaria.

Researcher, postgraduate student of GC RAS Alexander Manevich took part in the session "Engineering geophysics, geomechanics, geodynamics" and made a presentation on "Modeling the velocity field of horizontal movements of the Nizhnekansky massif based on GNSS observations".

March 27, 2024. On March 27, 2024, at the Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS, Research Scientist of the Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth of RAS Yevgeny Fattakhov presented his report "Development of Methods for Long-term Series Analysis of Geodeformation Observations in Seismically Active and Oil and Gas Bearing Regions" (based on his PhD thesis).

March 27, 2024. On March 26, 2024, at a meeting of the Bureau of the Department of Earth Sciences of RAS, Director of the Geophysical Center of RAS Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev was awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" 2nd grade.

March 21, 2024. On March 21, 2024, a regular meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Geophysical Center of RAS.

March 13, 2024. On March 13, 2024, at the Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS, PhD Alexey Morozov presented his report "Seismicity of the Western Sector of the Russian Arctic and Adjacent Territories during the Instrumental Observation Period".
