December 26, 2018. Dr. Sc. D. Peregudov, Senior Researcher, Laboratory of Geoinformatics made a presentation on “Relativistic length reduction and time dilation as dynamic phenomena” in the Belousov hall of Geophysical Center RAS, at a final workshop in 2018.

The report was devoted to the application of methods of continuum mechanics to the problems of the special theory of relativity. The author has proposed a simple relativistic model of an elastic rod, which provides analytical solutions of the problems presented.

March 27, 2024. On March 27, 2024, at the Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS, Research Scientist of the Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth of RAS Yevgeny Fattakhov presented his report "Development of Methods for Long-term Series Analysis of Geodeformation Observations in Seismically Active and Oil and Gas Bearing Regions" (based on his PhD thesis).

March 27, 2024. On March 26, 2024, at a meeting of the Bureau of the Department of Earth Sciences of RAS, Director of the Geophysical Center of RAS Corresponding Member of RAS Anatoly Soloviev was awarded the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" 2nd grade.

March 21, 2024. On March 21, 2024, a regular meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Geophysical Center of RAS.

March 13, 2024. On March 13, 2024, at the Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS, PhD Alexey Morozov presented his report "Seismicity of the Western Sector of the Russian Arctic and Adjacent Territories during the Instrumental Observation Period".
