September 14, 2018. Ricardo Valentini, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Director of the European Mediterranean Center for Climate Change delivered a lecture at the festival of science at NITU "MISiS". Professor Valentini devoted his research to environmental issues, in particular, climate change and greenhouse effects.

The event was attended by Director of GC RAS Academician A.D. Gvishiani, Deputy Director for Science, Corresponding Member of RAS A. A. Soloviev, Head of the Laboratory of Geodynamics, Doctor of Technical Sciences V.N. Tatarinov, junior researcher of the Laboratory of Geodynamics I. V. Losev.

April 19, 2024. The International Conference "Data Science, Geoinformatics and Systems Analysis in Geosciences" will be held on September 25-27, 2024 in Suzdal (Vladimir Oblast). The event is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Geophysical Center of RAS and the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

April 10, 2024. The RSF supported the project of the GC RAS "Determination of the Spatial and Temporal Structure of the Earth's Magnetic Field in the Vicinity of Geomagnetic Observatories of the Russian Federation with the Use of UAVs".

April 5, 2024. Deputy Director for Science of the GC RAS D.Sc. Boris Dzeboev took part in the V. P. Fyodorov Arctic Seminar.

March 27, 2024. On March 27, 2024, at the Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS, Research Scientist of the Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth of RAS Yevgeny Fattakhov presented his report "Development of Methods for Long-term Series Analysis of Geodeformation Observations in Seismically Active and Oil and Gas Bearing Regions" (based on his PhD thesis).
