May 31, 2018. Director of GC RAS, Academician A. D. Gvishiani presented a plenary report "System Analysis in Mining Sciences and Reduction of Natural Damage" at the International Conference dedicated to the memory of Academician A.V. Kryazhimsky "System Analysis: Modeling and Control" at the Steklov Institute of Mathematics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow.

A. D. Gvishiani analyzed the applications of system analysis in the study of mining and processing industries, natural disasters (volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, floods, landslides, tsunamis, magnetic storms) and natural damage reduction.

April 19, 2024. The International Conference "Data Science, Geoinformatics and Systems Analysis in Geosciences" will be held on September 25-27, 2024 in Suzdal (Vladimir Oblast). The event is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Geophysical Center of RAS and the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

March 27, 2024. On March 27, 2024, at the Scientific Seminar of the GC RAS, Research Scientist of the Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth of RAS Yevgeny Fattakhov presented his report "Development of Methods for Long-term Series Analysis of Geodeformation Observations in Seismically Active and Oil and Gas Bearing Regions" (based on his PhD thesis).
