May 21, 2018. Geophysical Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences has secured the rights to its historical premises, which it occupies since its foundation in 1954. The corresponding entry was made to the Uniform State Register of Real Estate on May 16, 2018.

Congratulations on this historic event to the team of the Geophysical Center, which became the full-fledged administrator of the premises, in accordance with the order of the Federal Agency for State Property Management No. 558 of 04.24.2018.

June 14, 2018. The 49th meeting of the Academic Council was held in the Belousov hall. The meeting adopted the Regulations on the Scientific Leader of GC RAS.

June 9, 2018. Leading researcher of the Laboratory of Geoinfarmatics and Geomagnetic Studies Sergey Anatolyevich Lebedev took part in the work of the School of Chief Designers (Module 2) as a guest expert with a lecture on "Satellite altimetry". The school program is implemented on the basis of the Corporate Academy of ROSKOSMOS, its participants were more than forty specialists of thirteen enterprises of the State Corporation.

June 8, 2018. D.Sc. Mikhail Kaban (GFZ, Potsdam, Germany) presented the report: "Structure and evolution of the lithosphere of North America on the basis of complex modeling of gravitational and seismic data" in the Belousov hall of GC RAS. The research team also included Alexey Petrunin, Walter D. Mooney and Magdala Tesauro.

June 6, 2018. Director of GC RAS A. D. Gvishiani and Senior research scientis of the Laboratory of Electronic Publications O. E. Louppov took part in the meeting of the round table of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) "Prospects for the Common Economic Space of the EU-EEU: Challenges and Opportunities for Business", organized jointly by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Eurasian Economic Commission, International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Association of European Businesses and the National Coordinating Center for Development of Economic Relations with Countries in the Asia-Pacific Region.
